Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by thebrokeandthebookish. Link: The topic this week is top ten authors you would like to meet or top ten authors you have met.

1) Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl

This is the writing duo of one of my favourite paranormal series. I would love to meet them and get my copy of Beautiful Creatures signed.

2) Jennifer L. Armentrout

Jennifer writes fun and addictive books and series. She is definitely an author I would like to meet.

3) Shannon Messenger

Shannon Messenger is the author of the middle grade series Keeper of the Lost Cities. Which is one of my favourite series ever, another author i’d like to meet.

4) A.G. Howard

I’ve only read the first two books in the splintered series, but they were so good I couldn’t put them down. The world A.G Howard created is so wonderful and whimsical, that I had to put her on this list.

5) Michael Buckley

Another author of a middle grade series. I loved The Sisters Grimm series so much, I was so sad when the last book ended.

6) J.K. Rowling

I’m probably dreaming, but this is another author I would love to meet. I am extremely late to the Harry Potter bandwagon, never the less there’s something so comforting about this series.

7)  Cassandra Clare

The author of multiple series in the shadowhunter universe. Clare is another on the list of must meet authors.

8) Nicola Yoon

This year I read The Sun Is Also A Star. It was a 5 star read and instant 2017 favourite. I know some bloggers and reviewers had problems with it being too insta-lovey, but I thought it was fantabulous.

9) Mary Downing Hahn

Mary Downning Hahn has written excellent children’s novels about ghost stories, my favourites being A Doll In The Garden & Wait Till Helen Comes, which I believe is now a movie.

10) Morgan Rhodes

Falling Kingdoms is one of my very favourite young adult fantasy series, then the first book in the Spipits and Thieves series came out, which was even better. Rhodes can do no wrong.

It was real hard to narrow my favourite authors down to ten, but I managed. Some honourable mentions are, Amanda Hocking, Lisi Harrison, Raina Telgemeier, Danielle Paige and Maggie Stiefvater.
